Furnaces of Eternity: He became what he beheld

A harshly lit black and white image of a man in his basement drilling into a beam above him, the wires of the electrical panel seemingly protruding from his ribs. The texture of his clothes and his skin and hair mirror the wood, wire and steel of his environment.

I started working with my father at 11 and almost every job after has helped define me and that includes everything from being a soldier to walking about with sandwich boards on behind a six foot restaurant manager wearing a Chubby Chicken outfit. More than leisure adventures and misadventures ever do, work has made me who I am.
